Music Videos... Repurposed
Music videos are the ultimate union of sound and visuals—a way to evoke emotion that I see as uniquely potent. In an attempt to determine whether music or video is a stronger driver of emotion, I decided to re-edit some of my favorite music videos to completely different songs.

VIDEO - Weathered (Jack Garratt)
SONG - Taro (Alt-j)
This pairing is less about disruption and more about what could have been. While these two songs have different themes, the nostalgic tones of Taro are fitting for a short film about three brothers.
VIDEO - Neosurf (Gener8ion, 070 Shake)
SONG - GO (Matt Ox)
The dystopian antics from the video for Neosurf lend themselves nicely to an increase in tempo. Matt Ox's frantic croons set a starkly different backdrop to a story similar to the one told in the original video.
VIDEO - Loud Places (Jamie xx)
SONG - Silver (A. G. Cook)
The video for Loud Places follows a pair of skaters around the city through the mellow club music of Jamie xx. The agitated and experimental sounds of Silver give the night a new energy.
